The detailed attention to winding protection on our V-Type range is born from our experience of working across a multitude of power generation sectors.

V-Type Total+

VTP^TM is a complex protection system that is designed specifically to be more resilient especially when operating in harsh environments. Two part epoxy is added after a full VPI impregnation of the windings.

Before full VTP+ treatment the main stator insulation is strengthened by the addition of reinforced tape around lower radius of stator; which forms part of a resistant covering for reinforced protection on the non-driven end winding header base (where the air inlets are). At the same time the exciter stator, gets additional protection with fully taped and the full VTP+ treatment.

On the lower circumference of the stator the lamination slots get an external treatment and are reinforced with Total+ insulation protection.

MAUX

The MAUX Power Boost, Auxiliary Winding System, is standard across the V-Type range. MAUX upgrades alternator performance over standard shunt systems by providing greater than 300% forced short circuit current for up to 20 seconds. The benefit of this feature is that it enables the generator set to start high impact motors and reduces the need to oversize a standard product or add a costly PMG or other enhancements charging a premium, therefore reducing cost and size by eliminating the need for a larger alternator.

Digital AVR M3K

Our digital AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) range offers an intelligent brain providing a self setting stability, alarm records and the option to Smartlink with the Mecc Alte Controller range, to provide accurate and optimised system functions.

C-Type standard features include

12 wire output is standard to guarantee maximum voltage flexibility.
